to the English version

Don't be too eager to search for mistakes - my English is horrible, I know !

This web page is especially made for ham radio folk, but don't be shy to browse if you aren't a ham.
Maybe there are some useful thoughts for you if you enjoy vacations away from those big tourist traps - like we do!

We are Erika and Gerd Uhlig and we live in Berlin, Germany.
My - Gerd's - hobby is amateur radio and we both love to travel to Caribbean islands.
We enjoy the Caribbean, most of all remote islands.
We have been to islands which are relatively seldom asked in our local travel agencies: St. Kitts & Nevis, St. Vincent & The Grenadines, Dominica, Montserrat, Carriacou and San Andrés y Providencia.

I enjoy putting relatively rare islands "into the air".

We have had wonderful times down there and lots of good experiences. If you want to share them with us, simply log in now.

San Andrés y Providencia was the goal of five of our trips in 2001, 2002, 2004 and 2006. San Andrés y Providencia is a small archipelago in the western Caribbean, off the coast of Nicaragua. Like always I had my ham radio stuff in our luggage.
